This Hyundai also goes by the name "Lil' Flip"
Kudos to human rapper Lil' Flip, who in the remix to Beyonce's hit song 'Naughty Girl' came perilously close to rhyming party with Bacardi, but skillfully avoided the all-too-common rap cliche at the last moment. For years I have dreamed of the moment when I would hear a human rapper end one line with party, and not end the next with Bacardi. Well, it's been ten years. Unlike human wordsmiths Lil' Kim, Busta Rhymes and a slew of others, Lil' Flip saw the obviously trite rhyme as unnecessary in his otherwise hackneyed diatribe of braggadocio. Using words like party, naughty, body, Maserati, and 'got it' to end sentences must have made it quite tempting for Mr. Flip to take the easy road home, driving his crap rap straight into Beyonce's sultry and superior black human vocal tones' but Flip did not cave in, rather, he chose to throw caution to the wind, to fly in the face of modern human rap conventions, and to end his paragraph of idiocy with an obligatory reference to sex. Well, I guess he sort of flew in the face of convention.
Listening to his skillful lyrical maneuvering reminded me of some of Lil' Flip's great lines of the past. For instance, on the song 'Like a Pimp,' when Flip told us this: 'Me I'm a pimp, I ain't paying for no sex, See I'd rather by a car or a new Rolex.' Beautiful. Or, on his first nationwide hit single, 'The Way We Ball,' where he informed us that he loves 'wearing platinum but [his] favorite color is green.' Or when he put it most simply and reminded us that the rap game truly was over with his insightful hit, 'Game Over.'In the end, Flip's avoidance of referencing cheap liquor is all too heroic, and he may soon find himself an outcast in the rap community due to his daring choice. So bravo Lil' Flip, bravo, it's humans like you that keep my murderous rampages alive.
