Death of a Telescope
by Technoscope Robinson

Goodness Gracious! The Bush Administration has cancelled maintenance plans to the Hubble Telescope, possibly the greatest technological innovation of our time. The telescope, without maintenance, will die as early as the year 2006. The Administration is claiming that the cancellation has to do with safety concerns, but that is simply a lie. Hubble, or Alex as we robots know him, poses no safety hazards to anyone. He is a wonderful robot, and has only done the world good since his creation in 1985. Despite his initial blurry pictures, he eventually opened the world’s eyes to the wonders of space. This is a horrible atrocity, and one that should not be allowed to happen. The only solution is a simple one: We must kill President Bush.

Sincerely,
